Years: Prep - 6

Students design, build and play with their very own mini robot made from simple electronic components - and every student takes theirs home. A hands-on introduction to circuits and the engineering design process

Wearable Technology

Years: Prep - 6

Fashion meets technology as students design and build their own light-up LED bracelet, then show it off in a glow-in-the-dark wearable tech fashion show. Every student takes home their glowing creation along with a real understanding of how circuits work.

Super Slime

Polymer Science

Years: Prep - 6

Students make and experiment with their own slime and explore the weird non-Newtonian world of oobleck - while learning that polymers are everywhere, from plastics to their own DNA. Gloriously hands-on chemistry

Artificial Intelligence & ML

Years: 4 - 6, 7-10

Students discover how self-driving cars, chatbots and virtual assistants actually "think" by training a simple machine learning model themselves. The session ends with a discussion of AI ethics-bias, privacy, and using this powerful technology responsibly. (Students need their own laptop or tablet.)

Light & Sound behavior

Years: 2 - 6

Students see sound with vibrating speakers, investigate the light spectrum with UV experiments, build their own string instruments and build a wave machine. Hands-on proof of how light and sound really behave - as both particles and waves.

Energy & Matter

Years: 3 - 6

From melting ice blocks to dramatic dry-ice phase changes, students explore solids, liquids, gases and plasma through demonstrations they'll actually remember. Interactive classification games connect the science straight back to cooking, weather and everyday life.

Robotics & Coding

Years: 3 - 9

1.5–2 hrs Students build, code and challenge robots using LEGO Spike Prime, with three levels that scale from screen-free coding for Prep–Year 3 through to advanced programming and automation for Years 7–9. Every session builds real skills in logic, engineering and problem-solving.

Years: 2 - 6

Students discover how pulleys, levers, wheels and gears make work easier by building and testing their own contraptions. They experiment, predict and refine their designs — just like real engineers on playgrounds and construction sites.

Cryptography

Years: 3 - 6

Students step into the world of spies and secret messages, cracking famous ciphers and creating their own coded messages in team code-breaking challenges. A sneaky way to build logic, pattern-spotting and maths skills - with an introduction to modern cybersecurity.

Electrical Energy

Years: 3 - 7

Students build simple circuits with Makey Makey kits, test conductors and insulators, and even become a "human circuit" to feel how electrical energy flows through a loop. The science behind every switch and light in their world, made touchable.

Intro to Forensics

Years: 2-3, 4 - 6

Students become detectives, analysing mystery powders with chemical tests and examining splatter patterns using real forensic techniques. Fingerprints, evidence and logical deduction — everything they need to think like a CSI.

Fun with Flight

Introduction to Forces

Years: 4-6,7-9

From paper planes to rocket launches, students investigate the four forces of flight - lift, thrust, drag and gravity - by designing, building and testing their own flying machines. Real aerodynamics, plenty of test flights, and Newton's laws in action.

Students journey inside the human body, building a working balloon model of the lungs and piecing together the human body puzzle of bones and organs. A hands-on look at how our muscles move, hearts beat and bodies work together.

Using LEDs, batteries and conductive materials, students build paper circuits and create their own colourful light shows. Older students step up to breadboards. A hands-on first look at the electronics powering everything around us.

Intro to Forensics

Years: P-6, 7-8

Students explore the science behind volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and wild weather - creating their own eruptions and testing earthquake-resistant buildings on a shake table. An action-packed journey into Earth's most powerful forces and how we prepare for them.
