Nirasha Welikala
Founder/Director

B.Eng Elec (Hons), MEM

Nirasha has over 20+ years’ experience in various engineering and technology companies, such as IBM, Tyco, Dyno Nobel, Lactalis and Schneider Electric. She has a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master in Engineering Management. She also has a certificate IV in training and assessment. Her expertise is in , process improvement methodologies, industrial engineering, manufacturing, electronics and training. She has designed and developed several training programs for adults and children. She founded this company to encourage and inspire the next generation to pursue STEM careers.

Sandra Murphy
Lead Educator

Grad Dip in Education

Sandra Murphy studied at Sydney University and University of Western Sydney to receive her Education degree to teach in Computing Studies, Information Technology, TAS (woodwork, Metal, textiles work and (3D printing in 2010)). She has taught VET certificates in Information Technology and IDMT (Digital Media) and has her certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has taught in schools in NSW and QLD both private and public school systems. Ms Murphy has been teaching Digital technology and STEM subjects for last 13 years. She has taught coding and robotics and is interesting in developing gaming design and development. She is a specialist teacher in the Education sector.

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)

Mika Furuya holds a Master of Science in Math and a Bachelor of Science in Math from Ochanomizu Women's University in Tokyo. She has also completed the Learner-Centered Educational Practices Program at Bridge Learning. With five years of experience as a Math and Homeroom teacher at MITA International School , Mika is an experienced and enthusiastic educator. She has taught math to students from 7th to 12th grade, including advanced and English immersion classes. Mika's skills include classroom management, student relations, and project-based learning. She has planned and implemented cross-curricular instruction in math, science, and English, and has developed strong relationships with students by providing personalized feedback and encouragement. Additionally, she has experience working with other teachers, school staff, and family members to ensure students receive valuable support.

Ava Choi

Bachelor of Science(Hons) Marine Biology 

Ava has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Marine Biology and had been a Scuba Diving Instructor since graduated from Griffith University. Before moving to Australia, she worked as an educator in art and early education. She enjoys doing hands on activities that promote creativity and critical thinking with her students. Ava is multilingual, who is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She is excited to share her passion for science and the ocean with everyone through diverse STEM activities with STEAM Powered Kids

Dikshika Gurung holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master's in Civil Engineering and Project Management at Griffith University. With a Blue Card and skills in areas like algebra concepts and essay writing, she is a proactive and caring tutor with over three years of experience. As both a private and home tutor, she has facilitated personalised tutoring sessions to help students achieve academic excellence in subjects including Mathematics, Science, and English. Dikshika creates individualized learning plans based on students' needs and learning styles, which has led to notable improvements in their grades. She has a patient and accommodating teaching approach, particularly with students on the ADHD spectrum, to keep them engaged and focused. Her experience also includes running activities for groups of up to 20 students and assisting them with preparing for tests and examinations.

  • Prof. Ghazaleh Taherzadeh, Ph.D, MSc  - Dr. Gazelle Taherzadeh received her PhD in Computational Biology (Bioinformatics) from School of Information and Communication Technology, Griffith University, Australia. She received her bachelor’s degree in software engineering in 2010, and her MSc degree in artificial intelligence in 2013.
