Welcome to Glow Lab: Cosmetic Chemistry, a full-day hands-on workshop where science meets creativity. Designed for curious young minds aged 9–13, this unique program lets students step into the shoes of a cosmetic scientist and explore how lotions, lip balms, bath bombs, and more are formulated using real chemistry. Cosmetic science is a fascinating field that combines chemistry, biology, and even a bit of artistry to create products that enhance or alter the appearance and health of skin, hair, and nails. I
Through engaging experiments, scientific investigation, and product creation, students will learn how beauty products are made, tested, and packaged all while discovering the science that makes them work.
What Students Will Do
Make Their Own Lip Balm: Learn about melting points, solubility, and fats while creating a custom lip balm in their favourite flavour or tint.
